Start verification
- Open Business settings with an admin.
- Go to Security Center and start business verification.
- Enter the legal name and address exactly as they appear on the documents.
- Upload what Meta asks for: registration certificate, tax document, or a utility bill in the business name. The list on screen is the one that counts.
- Confirm the phone number or email Meta uses to reach the organization.
Review is done by Meta. A rejection usually means the legal name, address, or domain does not match. Fix the field they name and submit again. We can look at the screenshot with you. We cannot mark the portfolio verified.
Why it matters for WhatsApp
- Messaging limits move up faster once the business is verified and quality stays healthy.
- Moving a number from another provider is smoother when the destination portfolio is already verified.
- An Official Business Account requires verification first. Verification alone does not grant the blue tick.
- The display name should already match the legal or trading name on the documents.

How long does Meta business verification take?
Anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the country and whether the first documents match. Check Security Center for the status rather than resubmitting every day.
Is a Facebook page the same as verification?
No. A Page, a WhatsApp display name, and business verification are three separate Meta reviews.
